The Big B's Mantra

Itz the time of the year when the big B's mantra is chanted which interestingly doesn't have any hymns or verses. But it is so powerful that yields out a big profit for newspapers, magazines and other ad agencies. The Big B's here doesn't certainly echo for Bachaan's(Amitabh or Abhishek) of Bollywood for any MBA aspirant.
With CAT just a few months away, every MBA aspirant dream would be to get to the IIM's and other top notch institutes.Cracking out CAT is not really that much easy as one would imagine as there are many parameters that goes in right from the preparation to the day of the examination before succeeding in it.
An ideal CAT paper has three sections in the form of verbal, quantitative and analytical.
CAT's golden rule says"Perform equally well in all sections".Any student whoz exceptionally well in any one of the section and weaker in other sections has to forfeit his chance of admission.
With so many management students graduating every year it remains a big question as to what are the career prospects for each of them.Truly the IIM's have fancied their chances of placing their students in reputed firms in the ratio of 1 student:multiple MNC's.The IIM's has had their reputation unfettered because of itz stringent admission process that hooks of with CAT and lands up with the personal interview. The best out of the better survives here rather that the good out of the bad.
There are three factors attributing for anyone to take up a management course
  1. Not finding any suitable job after his/her graduation the person jumps in for management education.
  2. An MBA degree would hone his/her skills and enable them to climb the corporate ladder.
  3. A real aspirant for a management education.

While 70% of them fall under the first category,30% fall under the second category and the remaining 10% fall under the third category.

Consider CAT 2002 exam, where a whopping 200,000 people took the exam. The huge chunk of people taking up management exams is augmenting year after year. Each business school is weighed based on its infrastructure,industry-institute linkages and with the kind of placement offers that are made after the course completion.Whatever might be the scenario, the quality of the education is what that comes into the picture first. One has to ovecome many hiccups when he takes on a long stride to pursue his/her higher studies.

Dedication is the one word and this is slated to be the business mantra for any MBA aspirant.
