Destined to be @ Destin - A trip to Pensacola
What stupid reason could you attribute to for not writing blogs for such a long time? Anything or everything that I say would be absurd and in the interest of the people reading this post I better keep my mouth shut. That said I should admit that it is at the behest of my roomie that I am posting this blog.
It has almost been a year since I am away from homeland and loitering around the different states in the country of rules. US is by far anybody's dream to live, work (you could see by the no. of H1-visas this year) and enjoy life. I am gonna encircle the last aspect of my previous sentence. Believe me you can enjoy your stay in US than anyother part of the world. Only flipside is that you don't have your near-dear ones beside you. Last week 5 of us set out on a mission (don't ask me what the mission is :-)) to Pensacola in a ferrari sported Chevy-impala.
I was the Schumacher with my team mates accompanying me. The journey began at 6 am with rollicking music from ipod and the car racing through Atlanta highways at 80 miles/hr. What better thing you get in your life than driving a car in US highways. The roads turned zig-zag, up down and curved dreadfully. It was truly an awesome experience.
If I was Michael there was a Ralf in my team. He drove for some part of our trip. We reached Pensacola at about noon and refreshed ourselves in our hotel room. We planned to go to beach later in the day so that we could play some games like volleyball, frisbee in the evening breeze of the sea. But there was one guy in our team who insisted that we better go during the day so as to cool our eyes. He didn't want to take sun bath but he had such an irritation in the eye that he desparately wanted to go out during the midday :-)) It was not only him but everyone in the team wanted to cool their eyes. I had already cooled my eyes during my visit to Miami in Jan this year. We dint heed to his words and headed straight to Naval air museum. It was an awesome museum with all type of fighter aircrafts on display. The only thing i hated there was a flight simulator. Even a kid would have laughed at it. A movie would run in front of you and you would be in a dabba[box] that would move up,down, right and left just to make you feel as if you are in a flight.there were two young men who made strange sounds as if it was terrific. But i was standing at the rear end of the flight simulator banging the exit door and shouting "Yovv..Kizhava kathava thira da".
In the evening we went to the beach to chill out. My friend cursed me for not being there during the daytime. There were amazingly awesome babes all around the beach. I assured my friend that we shall compensate for this in destin beach. And so was he relieved after going to destin beach. While my friends ventured into the beach to take bath, i sat at the shore taking photographs. An young woman ridiculed me saying "Hey!! Y don't you take of your shirts man?"
I just giggled and felt embarassed. Either I shouldn't have been at that place or I should have been half-naked. I failed to do both and was the victim of adam teasing. The trip came to an end after we visited Panama city and went for parasailing. We drove back all the way to Atlanta carrying the memories of our fun-filled trip.
