Lost World - I (Continued)

I had smelled the scent of US for the first time on the evening of August 01 2006. I had seen rules Ramanujam in Anniyan movie. Back home, he was criticized for his eccentric and weird behaviour of talking about rules in the movie. But here in US i could see thousands and thousands of such Ramanujams. Everybody goes by the rules here and you cannot get away from it if you are out of the box. You may be prime minister's son or a business tycoon's nephew but you are bound to be yet another Ramanujam in this country ruled by rules. I really like the system here because it instills discipline in people which you cannot beg from them but rather have to force on them. If you park your vehicle in no parking zone, you'll get away with 20 bugs to the traffic police in India but here the fine amount is $100. And not only that. Your insurance shoots up and there is a black mark in your driving history. Dare will you do it next time? If you jump the signal in India you are the perfect Indian. On the other hand if you jump signal in US, the cops are ready to jump on you.

I am not ridiculing or criticizing my country. I love my country and am envied by this country's customs and policies that are doing so much good to this nation.
Have you ever heard of fresh air? Where is it? will be question from an Indian. I am inhaling pollution free air in this country. Back in India, with the population growing day by day people are fighting for their shelters and forest area is getting depleted at a rapid pace than ever before. The trees are being cut down for acquiring land.

There are thousands of rules here and everybody is bound to know each rule. You cannot escape from the firm hands of the government of being ignorant about such rules. Back in India you have thousands of rules too. But those are only in books and not in practice. There are two rules that are predominant in India. Guess what??
It is Central govt. rule and State govt. rule. These are the only rules found in India. It is sad to see that some good rules which are put in place are revoked back for political gain. It is high time that we as Indians realise that we are responsible for our country's welfare and prosperity. Let us all envisage the vision of India becoming the super power by 2020.As our honourable president APJ Abdul Kalam said "If you as an Indian is able to obey the rules in an alien country why not in your home country?". Let us all join hands together in making India the super power. Spread this word like a forest fire.

Jai Hindh!!
