Stray Dogs - A menace for many

If i say something that i abhor the most in this world it would be dogs.I have had some quite weird experiences with the dogs particularly street dogs.It seems to me that they start practising how to run when they see me.I would like to share few funny instances that happened in my life with these stray dogs.

Stray dog - Beware

While during my college days I used to board my college bus to get over to their in time.If i miss it,it would nearly take 2 hours to reach the college. On one fine day i had set out late from my house to the busstop.I was rather walking in a lethargic way and some 10 metres away from the busstop i saw people boarding the bus.I garnered all the energy to start running in an attempt to catch the bus before i realised that a dog was running more quicker than me and behind me.The noise that this mean creature made while chasing me was so deafening that I had to stop on all of a sudden to turn and kick itz ass.The moment i stopped,it stopped and didn't allow me to take a step further.I had missed my bus all because of this nasty animal. It had walked away quitely after i missed my bus. These stray dogs have often belt tied around their neck prohibiting the corporation officials to take away them(wonder who tie them).

As i work for a software MNC,my working hours are subject to variations.
My work may stretch up to 11 PM or 12 AM the next morning. On one fine day I had my work finished at 11 PM and started the journey towards my house in a two-wheeler.My vehicle was a typical one in the sense that even though i give maximum acceleration its velocity doesn't exceed 40Kmph.And any attempt to go beyond it stops instantaneously and i have to walk with it.As I neared my street there were about a half a dozen dogs sleeping in the centre of the road and blocking the entire path.I sensed the potential danger involved because it was not one that i had to fight with but six of them. But i had vehicle in my hand an so i thought i culd make a escape from these vagabonds. As i flashed the headlight on them they got furious and got off in an instinct ready for the attack and paved way for my vehicle to pass through.Ahah!!!!I forgot something!!That my vehicle doesn't cross beyond the 40 km speed limit and here were the panthers running at 100 kmph.I knew i was gone because if i had tried to increase my speed beyond 40 km they would have enjoyed partying with me.Some of them went past my vehicle but fearing that i would run over them with my vehicle stopped in the midway. But there was one bull shit hound that was really very much desperate to get atleast half a pound of flesh from my legs.I had seen its teeth come so closely to my legs that in an attempt to aviod the vicious bite i folded my legs and started to drive the vehicle in a ziz-zag manner.Alas!!!I hit it in its face and had a narrow escape.

Still worse was the case during my jogging days. Now that i have stopped jogging, its just a fast walking that i do every morning.I remember the day when i set out for a jogging one early morning. As i started to jog,a dog that seemed to be lull and dull till that point of time suddenly became active and started to follow me.As i had already been used to these kind of stuffs from these animals i stopped. It too stopped but didn't leave me just like that.It barked so ferociously and signalled the dogs in the other streets that "A guy is coming around for jogging.
Don't allow him jog.Just bog down him by your voice. He will clog automatically."
Every dog barks at a ragpicker but doesn't dare to go near him because they knew its consequences.I surmise bony fellows are the target for these ebony hounds.

Chennai is very much a dog prone city.Whether you find houses in the nook and corner of the city you can certainly find street dogs elsewhere. While the government is bringing family planning control to the people of India it should do something about family planning among dog's community. You can see dogs mating each other too often. The result??10 puppies in a single birth. While there is blue cross and SPCA for animals welfare there should be some means to control their population and save the people from their menace.

hey SI,
Do u really mean it? Or else are you one of the victims of stray dogs? I have hear that "Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder". For you it may look the sweetest thing but for me it is the most ugliest thing. You may be good at changing people's minds but definitely u cannot do so with me. I terribly hate dogs.

hey ram,
trust me on this. i agree beauty is in the eye of the beholder. but i also agree that change my friend is the only permanant thing in life. and without change there is no growth. iam not saying u will change your mind, but iam not saying you will not... god knows what seeing things from differnt perspective can do.. it can throw up figures in the air, and who knows we may come to belive the world is flat!
