QOTD - Can you do it?

Very often people stumble when they start to pursue something in their life. It could either be in art, education, sports or music. In short its their career. But what has that to do here? Well the QOTD is how often people stick to what they want to do until they achieve it? Goals keep on changing over period of time in life for many. People often start with one goal and start to pursue something until they realise that they are no where near to where they want to be.
There are basically 4 categories of people in this world.
  • People who never dream.
  • People who listens to others when following their dream.
  • People who never listens to others when following their dream.
  • People who never reveals their dreams to others.

Nearly 50% of the people in this world fall under the first category. They don't want to achieve something big in their life. They are happy and conteneded with what they have in their life. QOTD has nothing to do with these category of people because you can never pose such a question to them. They are aimless wanderers in life and asking such a question would have serious repercussions.

As many as 30% of the people fall under the second category. These type of people want to achieve something in their life but are often bemused and perturbed when faced with the task of realising their dream. These people reveal their dreams and intention to others only to be left back footed. More often than not revealing your aspirations and dreams to others is the stupidest thing that anyone would do. While it is best to seek advice and ideas from others it is blatantly false to reveal your intentions to others. I can now get your question. How can one get advice and ideas without revealing their intentions? True, but you are the best judge of yourself. If you believe you can trust a person and who is a well wisher for you then you can go ahead and reveal your true aim so that he can guide you in the best path. Again it is you who has to decide if you can take the path suggested by the other. It is always best to believe in your conscience. The most important thing in life is "Don't believe in what others say because others say that to make you believe".

Almost 15% of the people fall under the third category. While it is true that you shoudn't blindly believe in what others say it is equally plausible that you have to hear as to what others say. The third category of people never cares what others have to say about their goal. Per say they say "You have no say". These people are greatest believers in themselves. They never listen to others. Although it is hard for these category people to transcend to second category it does happen that when these people face repeated failures they seek others opinion and advice.

The remaining 5% of people fall under the fourth category. These people are more often termed as "Silent Killers" by others. One cannot easily interpret their intentions. These people appear calm and composed but strike the chord at the right time. These people always beleieve in themselves. They also seek opinion from others in an indirect way like "My Friend wants to do an MBA. How should he go about in application process? What would be the decent GMAT score?" The real intention would be for himself to do an MBA but he adopts this circuitous way of asking things. It is really very difficult to get words from these kind of people. These people can quite awkwardly be chatter boxes but very cautious in distinguishing between what to discuss and what not to discuss.

That said, its time for you to decide in which category you fall into. Whatever be it, you have to be very optimistic and let not others to decide you future course. Can you do it? I hear a chorus reply " Yes. We can!!".
