Rajni Mania - The Fever is here

Its Diwali for the entire world on June 14th 2007. The megahit movie 'Sivaji' is to hit the theatres across the world in another 2 days. Its the 100th Tamil film for Rajni and there is no doubt that this movie is going to be the blockbuster movie of the year. While some speculate that too much hype will actually pave way for flop like Baba it certainly doesn't seem so for Sivaji. Rajni, the ever charismatic person in the Cine industry has this extraordinary style and talent to attract even the just born child. No kiddos!! Its the truth. Thalaivar, as he is fondly called is not only the icon but also the idol of the tamil cine industry.

Being an ardent fan of thalaivar, I am going to see the first day first show of the movie. Hip Hip Hurrah!! Incidentally I am going to watch it in Atlanta also called as Chennai-II. Rajni has a huge fan base all over the world. Any guess of how many fan clubs he has in Tamil nadu? A wild guess couldn't even touch the real figures. Its a whooping 35,000 fan clubs across the state. This speaks itsself for the popularity of the thalaivar. What makes this movie much more special is that the super duper and electrifying trio of Rajini, Shankar and Rahman have come together for the first time in the movie fraternity. This is something unusual as the solar eclipse when the sun, moon and the earth come in a single line.

There have been many discussions going on over a period of time as to what makes one a Rajnikanth fanatic. There is not a single solid answer till now. Some say its his style, his elegance, and his charisma that is unmatchable with any other star in the filmdom. Whatever be it, he is the one and only Superstar that tamil movie industry would ever see. His punch dialogues are so powerful that makes every politician wet his pants. He is the man of caliber, perseverance, style, elegance, spirtuality, eternity and what not. He is the demi-god of tamil filmdom. Just as Chatrapathi Shivaji was the ruler of Maratha empire, this Sivaji is the ruler of millions of hearts across the world.

Thalaivaaaaaaa!! You rockkkkk!!!!

Sir,
Your article baffles me.There are umpteen number of idols in ones every day life that Rajini is just one among those (umpteen) stars who managed to click. You may call it as style. I can only draw parallels to his "antics".Style is temporary.Class is permanent. Cine stars cannot do magic in real life. Rajini could only be dumb when his Baba bombed at the box office. The so called star-bitten fans just forgot the way to the theatres at that time. Movie goers expect some thing the ycan take home from the movie. It may not be just Rajini Magic that clicks. Remember there are also plenty of other artists who too carry the movie on their shoulders.
He may be a demi-god in tamil filmdom. But, he is not surely the formula for success.
