Classic Story Series- Life has Twist (Part 3)

Continued from Part-2

Vineeth didn't turn up to the office next day. Ashwathi had tried to reach him over phone many a times during the day but in vain. Her eyes were firmly grasped on the painting that hung in her office room wall but her mind was constantly thinking about Vineeth. Finally after taking a big gasp she decides that she should no longer delay her proposal to Vineeth. "But what if Vineeth denies my proposal? How would I face him after that? Will he tell about my proposal to his friends?" these questions constantly troubled her mind.

Rakesh was still in a state of shock after his meeting with Vineeth yesterday. Tears started to flow down his cheeks as he tried to control his emotions. He wanted to burst out the news that Vineeth had told him to everyone but didn't want to dishonor the promise he had made to him. He yelled all through the day "This can't be true!! This can't be true!!"

It was 6 PM in the evening and Ashwathi got hold of Vineeth in the phone.

Ashwathi: Vineeth, would you have few minutes to talk to me?
Vineeth: I am sorry Ashwathi. I saw all your missed calls just now and thought of
calling you after going home. Infact I wanted to meet you.
Ashwathi: Ya me too. Shall we meet up at Roquaz Robana??
Vineeth: Sure. What time?
Ashwathi: Is 7 PM ok?
Vineeth: Alright we'll meet at 7 PM tonight.

Ashwathi's imagination knew no boundaries. She was constantly thinking about the possible reason for Vineeth to meet her. "Would he propose me? Wow. That would be great. But what if he had asked me to come for some other reason?". Ashwathi was totally puzzled but knew that she would have answers to all her questions in a couple of hours. Heading straight from the office she went to a nearby giftshop to buy a gift for Vineeth. She browsed almost all the gifts in the shop but none of them were appealling to her until she found a heart shaped silver bracelet that read "I am for you dear." With a huge smile she picked up the bracelet and didn't care about its price tag. She was determined to buy it. She picked up a valentine card and headed straight to the counter. Incidentally she saw a big poster behind the cashier's desk that read "Happy Valentine's Day". "Oh my god!! What a better would I get rather than this to express my love for Vineeth. How fool am I to have missed this day. Perhaps Vineeth knew about it and that is the reason he would have wanted to meet me and propose me." All these thoughts ran through Ashwathi's mind as she paid the cash for the card and the gift she bought. She drove the car from the gift plaza and headed towards Roquaz Robana.

Scene: Roquaz Robana, 7 PM

Astwathi saw Vineeth staring into the sky. She also saw some card and papers in his table. She smiled broadly and decided that she would accept the love once Vineeth proposed her. She played the usual prank of going behind Vineeth and closing his eyes from the behind.

Vineeth: Comeon Ashwathi. I know its you. Comeon sit.
(Ashwathi was still smiling couldn't look into the eyes of Vineeth as she took her seat.)
Ashwathi: Yes Vineeth. Tell me. How are you? What is special today?
Vineeth: First tell me what would you like to have?
Ashwathi: What do you like?
Vineeth: I asked what do you want?
Ashwathi: What are you going to order?
Vineeth: I am going to have mango milk shake. What do you want?
Ashwathi: Waiter!! One mango milk shake with two straws.
Vineeth: Hey!! I have got enough money for 2 milk shakes. Waiter!!
Please get us two mango milk shakes. Take your time.
(Ashwathi was completely disappointed by Vineeth's action but she didn't reveal it.)
Ashwathi: So you called me up to tell something right? What is that?
I can't wait to hear that.
Vineeth: Did anyone tell you of what I am going to tell?
Ashwathi: Yes one person very close to me told.
Vineeth: Oh so Rakesh told you?
(Ashwathi thinks. Fool you tell your love for me to Rakesh and everyone else in this world but not to me.Idiot tell me now da.)
Ashwathi: I cannot tell who told you but I know.
Vineeth: Oh so you know. How did you feel after hearing it?
Ashwathi: Ecstatic Vineeth. Ecstatic!!
Vineeth: What??? What did Rakesh tell you?
Ashwathi: He told me what you told him.
Vineeth: What did I tell him?
Ashwathi: You should ask that to him and not me dear.
(Ashwathi further thinks that Vineeth doesn't have the guts to propose her and that she should break the pot.)
Vineeth: Come Ashwathi!! Itz not time to play pranks. Tell me what you know or heard.
(Ashwathi blurts out)
Ashwathi: Idiot!! Will anybody tell their love to someone else than to the concerned person. Let me be the first person to break the pot. I love you Vineeth. I love you so much.

Vineeth goes in to a state of shock as Ashwathi takes the silver bracelet from her handbag and locks it into his wrists. He came there to tell an important news to Ashwathi but was totally stumped by Ashwathi's action.
