Classic Story Series- Life has Twist (Part 1)
Vineeth was gazing through the windows of his newly moved office in Colarado when the door behind him opened with a loud noise. In came Ashwathi exclaiming "Hey Vineeth!! What are doing man??". Vineeth didn't want to reveal what was running on the back of his mind but gently grinned at Ashwathi and said "Nothing". Vineeth was a charming, enthusiastic 25 year old lad who had great aspirations in life. He was a bubbling guy who always lit up the place that he was around. Everyone loved the company of Vineeth. Infact that is what he beleived it to be. He was fondly called as "Humo guy" for he had such an aura of exclusivity when it came to cracking jokes. He came up with such good jokes in a jiffy. But oflate something was troubling his mind. He was pondering about it for a long long time.
Ashwathi was surprised by Vineeth's reply because she had never seen him so dull and numb. "What happened to you man? Any problem? Can i help you?" inquired Ashwathi. Vineeth was in a sombre mood and didn't want to spill out everything to Ashwathi. He was so determined that he seemed to speak only one word for the whole day. "Nothing Ashwathi". Ashwathi was Vineeth's close friend since his college days. She was one of the most gorgeous women in her college and she had shrugged off all the proposals she had received from her college mates. She was a calm girl who never talked to guys in the college. But it was Vineeth who made her come out of her shy world to make her an extrovert. That made her like him more and they became close friends. Infact she used to funnily say Vineeth that she has stopped shutting her mouth ever since she became his friend. Ashwathi was worried by Vineeth's reply. She drew close to him, ran her fingers in to his hair and exclaimed "Comeon Vineeth!! Cheer up!! If you think you can share your problem with me please share. I don't want to see you like this dear". For a moment Vineeth wanted to tell everything to Ashwathi but his mind controlled his heart. "Nothing Ashwathi!! I'll talk to you later." exclaimed Vineeth as he quickly packed his bags, shut down his system and started to take long steps leaving behind Ashwathi in a bemused state.
Ashwathi had a place for Vineeth in her heart. She wanted to tell him how much she loved him and cared for him. But there was something that prevented her from expressing her love. Infact she had given many signs of her unconditional love to Vineeth. She used to keep him small tests to find out if he was in the same wavelength as she was. Once in a party Ashwathi closed Vineeth's eyes standing back and asked her friend to talk "Hey Vineeth!! Guess Who am I?"
She thought that if Vineeth was smart enough he would find that she(Ashwathi) was closing his eyes from the behind. Vineeth knew that no other girl touched and spoke to him other than Ashwathi. So he promptly said "Hey Ashwathi!! I know its you." Ashwathi used to be on cloud nine when Vineeth passed these small tests because she presumed that it was she who had actually won. She would assume that it was indicative of his desire for her. But Vineeth as usual
used to make fun of her clearly not reading her mind. For that sake Who better can read a woman's mind?
Vineeth was heading home in his car clearly thinking about what had happened the day before. He tried to get distracted himself from that thought but his mind wouldn't. Tears started to slowly creep out from Vineeth's eyes.
